DuPage investigators search again for information about baby Hope
The search continued Sunday for information about the parents of baby Hope, the newborn found dead Aug. 15 near Wheaton.
Investigators canvassed the wooded area along Plamondon Road, where the baby girl was found abandoned, as well as the surrounding neighborhoods, according to the DuPage County sheriff's office. They also went door to door asking for information.
The sheriff's office has been working with Virginia-based Parabon NanoLabs, a company that specializes in predicting physical appearance ancestry from unidentified DNA evidence. A $12,300 DNA analysis completed last month determined Baby Hope's parents are Latino, and images of what they may look like at age 15 and 25 were released last month.
Their age and residence remain unknown, but authorities said the parents likely have dark eyes, dark hair and medium skin tone.
Baby Hope was buried Sept. 22 at St. Michael Cemetery, about a half-mile from where she was found. The cause and manner of her death remain undetermined.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the sheriff's office at (630) 407-2400. Callers can remain anonymous.
