Willow South Lake Holds Annual Trunk or Treat

On Sunday, October 30th Willow South Lake held their second annual Trunk or Treat event. The event drew several hundred participants, and included such venues as decorated car trunks, a petting zoo, a small train, inflatables, face painting, firetrucks, an abundance of candy, and refreshments.

There were a variety of decorated vehicles, mostly SUVs, with themes such as: Peanuts, Hawaii, the "Operations" Game, Noah's Ark, Star Wars, ESPN Sports: College Game Day, Hockey, CUBS, Jail Scene, Halloween with a large Black Spider and cobwebs, and others.

Both children and adults enjoyed a petting zoo which included: lambs, rabbits, ducks, goats, black Holstein calves, pigs, and others.

Refreshments were provided to help keep everyone in good spirits and included such Fall treats as apple cider donuts, apple cider, Rice Krispies treats dipped in chocolate, and grilled corn on the cob.

Willow South Lake Operations Director, Justin Patton, dressed up like Captain America, and was directing traffic on Barclay Boulevard.

Senior Pastor, Matt Wright indicated "Trunk or treat is a great way for us to give any family the opportunity to have fun together in a safe, friendly environment. When our families are stronger, our community is stronger. And don't forget to join us for our Christmas Eve events next month!"

The Church, located at 625 Barclay Boulevard, Lincolnshire, Is the newest regional campus of Willow Creek Community Church of South Barrington.
