Support group for younger breast cancer survivors begins Tuesday
Centegra Health System will offer a bimonthly support group for breast cancer survivors diagnosed before age 45. The group's first gathering will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Centegra Gavers Breast Center, 360 N. Terra Cotta Road, Crystal Lake. Walk-ins are welcome.
Attendees are encouraged to take ownership of this group. Center staff will begin the meeting and then ask participants to choose a group name. Women will be invited to suggest activities they will value the most.
The health system's breast health care team will help provide support and cover pertinent, educational topics.
