Wilcox, Bates take District 4 in McHenry County

The two Republican candidates running for McHenry County Board's District 4 prevailed Tuesday night with all 37 precincts reporting.

Craig Wilcox led with 12,764 votes, followed by Kay Bates with 12,335 votes, according to unofficial results. They ran against Democrats Robert Rosenberg (7,241 votes) and Arne Waltmire (5,732 votes).

Wilcox pledged to reduce property taxes across the board and to find ways to reduce the size of government. Bates seeks to be a voice for the business community.
