Get tickets for the Cook of the Week finale

Weeks of intense competition come to a boil today - and not just in the World Series.

Four suburban home cooks will battle it out in the 2016 Daily Herald Cook of the Week Challenge live cook-off from 6 to 9 tonight at the Westin Chicago Northwest, 400 Park Blvd., Itasca. You can watch the action unfold while enjoying an appetizer buffet, samples, celebrity chef demos and more. And you won't have to give up watching the Cubs in Game 6, either, because the World Series will be playing on TVs at the event.

Tickets are $20, with $5 going to the Northern Illinois Food Bank. They're available at events.dailyherald.com/cook-of-the-week and at the event.

Battling it out will be Michael Ek of Bartlett, Teresa Fiocchi of Mundelein, Martha Garmon of Palatine and John Hampson of Antioch. One will finish the night with big prizes and the giant spoon trophy.

Go, cooks! Go, Cubs!
