Renowned Choral Composer Leads SING Program Nov. 6 at the MAC

Renowned choral composer, conductor, arranger and author Alice Parker will lead her SING program at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Parker's performance is part of a three-day residency program sponsored by the College's Choral program.

Founder and artistic director of Melodious Accord, Inc., Parker delights in sharing her love of singing and works with both singers and non-singers to unleash their musical potential, focusing on melody. No musical training is necessary to participate as the group is led through discovery of the test and melody in steps.

In addition to the Nov. 6 SING event, Parker will work with students in the College's ensembles in a masterclass on Nov. 7. The masterclass is not open to the public.

Tickets to the Nov. 6 performance are $15. For more information, call the MAC Box office at (630) 942-4000 or visit www.atthemac.org.
