I-290 westbound reopens at Harlem Avenue after shooting investigation

Illinois State Police have reopened all westbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway at Harlem Avenue after investigating a shooting that occurred about 11:50 a.m. at Harlem Avenue. The investigation closed the expressway for about two hours.

One shooting victim has been taken to a hospital, police said in a news release. The victim's condition is unknown.

The shooting remains under investigation and additional updates will be released as they become available. No other information is being released at this time.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any knowledge of the shooting is asked to contact the ISP at (847) 294-4400. Callers can remain anonymous.
