Long record of public service or none?

Twelve score years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation. A great war tested whether a divided nation could stand.

Now we are engaged in a bitter election following decades of divisiveness in all branches of government. We are about to decide whether our president shall be a woman with a long record of public service or a man with none. We can neither add nor detract from their records for both have been in the public eye for decades, and their statements and actions are on videotape.

The world will note and long remember what we do here, for our nation's influence is ubiquitous. Will our next president be seen as measured and reasoned or unpredictable and bombastic; as democratic or demagogic; as for the people or for the corporations?

Let us highly resolve to make a responsible choice.
