Hanover Township Trustee resigns

Citing time constraints with his job, Hanover Township Trustee Howard K. Krick resigned this week after seven years in the township board.

"Howard served the township with distinction and true passion for the township's mission," Hanover Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire said in an announcement of the resignation. "Whether it was working with youth, seniors, or helping out at the food pantry, Howard always kept the pulse of the community and was instrumental in implementing new programs and improving township efficiencies."

Krick's resignation will take effect on Oct. 26. The Hanover Township board of trustees is seeking applications to fill his term until May 2017.

Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years old and have resided within Hanover Township for at least one year. Those interested are required to send a letter of interest and resume to 250 S. IL Route 59, Bartlett, Illinois, 60103, attention Hanover Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire, or email supervisor@hanover-township.org. Applications must be received by the close of business Friday, Oct. 28.

The board hopes to appoint a replacement at its Nov. 1 meeting.
