Endorsement: Dahl for Kane County Board, District 6.

In Kane County District 6, Democratic incumbent Brian Dahl is facing Republican challenger Donald Baltzer. This will be Dal's first attempt at running for the office since being appointed to fill the vacant position left when Ron Ford resigned.

Dahl, a supporter of the Longmeadow Parkway, has indicated he is open to ending Kane County's property tax levy freeze if new sources of revenue, such as user fees and outside grants, cannot put a dent in the projected 2017 $5.7 million budget deficit.

Numerous attempts to contact Donald Baltzer by email and phone were unsuccessful and he did not return a candidate questionnaire. A candidate seeking public office needs to be accessible. Baltzer is not. Brian Dahl is endorsed for the Kane County Board 6th district seat.
