Lake Zurich fall leaf collection

Lake Zurich has started its fall curbside leaf collection program that'll run into December. Residents are asked to rake leaves to the curb by 6 a.m. on Mondays for collection that week. The village will collect the leaves until Dec. 2. Officials said all leaves should be raked into the parkway within five feet of the curb. They also suggest that a long, low row is better than a single large pile to limit the blowing of leaves. Leaves should not be raked into curbs.
