Grain lower, livestock higher
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for December delivery was 4.60 cents lower at $4.1540 a bushel; December corn was 3.40 cent lower at $3.54 bushel; December oats was 1.20 cents lower at $2.0760 a bushel while November soybeans gained 3 cents to $9.8440 a bushel.
Beef higher and pork prices were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle was 2.15 cents higher at $.9818 a pound; October feeder cattle was 1.43 cents higher at $1.2045 pound; October lean hogs gained .23 cent to $.4140 a pound.
