Kaminsky wears Bartman jersey, starts Twitter feud with Cubs

Amid the excitement of the Cubs playoffs drive, a feud is brewing between the team and Charlotte Hornets forward Frank Kaminsky, a die-hard Chicago White Sox fan and Lisle native.

Kaminsky showed up at Monday night's preseason game against the Bulls wearing a custom "Bartman 44" Cubs jersey.

He also reportedly wore it to a rooftop bar in Wrigleyville during Sunday night's playoff game.

That set off a back-and-forth on Twitter between Kaminsky and the Cubs.

The Cubs needled Kaminsky for being "salty," to which Kaminsky replied with GIFs of the infamous Bartman play and the cursed goat at Wrigley Field, writing, "At least I haven't been dwelling for 108 years #GOAT".

The Cubs also posted a photo of Kaminsky when his Wisconsin team lost the 2015 NCAA championship game, saying, "It's best not to dwell on a tough loss."

The Twitterverse immediately chimed in, with one person saying Kaminsky is "my new favorite basketball player," and others ripping him with comments like (unedited) "Your from lisle? The Burrito place El Mex is more popular in Lisle than you ever will be."

In an interview with CSN Chicago, Kaminsky said he does not want the Cubs to win the World Series.

"I'd rather see the Cubs lose than pretty much anything else right now," he said.
