Armed robbery at Arlington Heights gas station

Arlington Heights police are looking for information about an armed robbery early Tuesday morning at a gas station on the south end of the village.

Police said that at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, a man entered the Mobil gas station at 1880 S. Arlington Heights Road, showed a knife to an employee and demanded money.

The gas station employee gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and the man ran west from the gas station, police said.

The offender was described as a black man between the ages of 20 and 23, 6'0'' tall and about 165 pounds.

He was wearing a black mask, black hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored gloves and blue jeans.
