Inland Brokerage & Consulting sells 5 parcels for Diocese of Joliet

OAK BROOK - Inland Real Estate Brokerage & Consulting recently brokered the sale and closing of five individual properties, with a combined total of approximately 50 acres, on behalf of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet.

Terms of the sale were not announced.

The properties, part of a 30-property portfolio, include the former Roman Catholic Chancery & Tribunal complex in Joliet, and land parcels in the surrounding suburbs of Frankfort, University Park, Channahon and Romeoville.

Eric Spiess, vice president, Paul Montes, vice president, and Paul Rogers, president of Inland Brokerage & Consulting, represented the Diocese of Joliet in the five transactions.

"We have closed a significant portion of the 30-property portfolio and several other parcels are currently under contract," said Spiess. "We hope to close the remaining properties so the Diocese can turn unused real estate into usable capital to further their mission."

Proposed developments for the parcels include separate retail, single-family residential and assisted living uses.

"Developers and investors are acquiring quality development sites at pre-Recession levels," said Rogers. "Buyers are more bullish than ever it seems."
