HCS Family Services seeks donors for annual turkey dinner drive

Last year, HCS Family Services provided food for more than 21,000 area residents in need. This holiday season the Hinsdale-based nonprofit agency hopes to provide hundreds of holiday meal boxes to hungry families in southeast DuPage County.

"The holidays are all about sharing a bountiful meal with loved ones, but for those families in our community who are already struggling to put food on their table, a traditional turkey dinner is out of reach," said Deb Baker, executive director at HCS Family Services.

HCS Family Services wants to provide families in need with a holiday meal box, including a turkey and all the ingredients needed for families to create their own Thanksgiving celebration, but the organization needs donations to help reach their goal of providing turkeys and meal boxes to more than 300 families.

HCS Family Services can provide the turkey and ingredients - including potatoes, stuffing, gravy, fruit, vegetables, dessert and coffee - for a donation of $30.
