How well has the Recorder of Deeds performed, and what qualifications would you bring to the office?
Property records are kept at the offices of Township, Treasurer, Clerk, and Recorder, and tax payers are required to pay, directly or indirectly, for this unwanted activity. Since Treasurer sends out the bills, the records should stay with the Treasurer's office and
we should abolish or consolidate Recorder's office with the Treasurer's or Clerk's Office.
The incumbent has failed to take advantage of the digital technology in reducing paper trails.
Cook County as well as in other counties are debating to merge, consolidate, or abolish the Recorder's Office.
The DuPage Recorder's office is rampant with nepotism, favoritism, and patronage jobs.
If you expect to ask for an increase in appropriations during the next four years, what areas would you want to put more money into?

* Making more notaries available
I would bring the digital records online up to date. I would also make it easier for citizens to access and get copy of the records they need online.
List any of your relatives (including those related to you by marriage, and nieces/nephews) who are on the public payroll in Illinois, their jobs and who they work for.
I do not have any relatives on the public payroll in Illinois.
On the contrary, my opponent was hired by his first cousin, who was his predecessor. The Recorder's Office has been retained in one family for the last several decades.
A set of rigorous ethics laws are needed for the Recorder's office and for the entire DuPage County government. The above question should be inserted on a candidate's nomination petition.
Without these revelations, the Recorder's office has become an epitome of nepotism.
I also advocate for a term limit.
Describe your position on transparency in the office and the ease of access to records by the public. If you believe improvements are needed, what are they and how would you go about achieving them?
Make the Recorder's office more customer friendly: I will attempt to make it easier to help out property owners by providing more clear and concise forms that the average citizen can understand.
I will also renegotiate with the imaging vendors. The current administration is allowing vendors to take advantage of the tax payers.
Recorder's Office is filled with relatives of incumbent Republican elected officials.

Tax payers are already paying tons of taxes. If they need any of the following services, they should get free of charge the first time and completely free off the Internet.
