BACOA and Barrington Police Department Partner to Offer Senior Car Safety Check

The Barrington Area Council on Aging and the Barrington Police Department have partnered to host a senior car safety check on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 9-11:30 a.m., at the Barrington Public Safety Building, 400 N. Northwest Highway, Barrington.

Mechanics from Highgate Motors and Wickstrom Auto Group will conduct a 21-point inspection to check for basic safety and maintenance issues. The service is free, and no appointments are necessary; each inspection should last about 15 minutes. Participants will receive a written report that they can take to the mechanic who maintains their car.

For additional information, contact Sergeant Jeniffer Whitcher with the Barrington Police Department at (847) 304-3300 or Sue McNamara with BACOA at (847) 381-5030.

The Barrington Area Council on Aging, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization. Its mission is to serve seniors, family caregivers and the community. Visit their website at www.bacoa.org.
