Cary Park District offers day-off school activities

The Cary Park District has developed opportunities to keep kids' minds alert and hands active when there is a day off from school. To register for any of the programs listed below visit the Community Center at 255 Briargate Road in Cary or register online at carypark.com. For information, call (847) 639-6100. Preregistration is required for all programs.

Harms Farm Field Trip:

Begin and end the day at the Community Center with games, crafts, and other seasonal activities from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7. At 9 a.m., the group will board the bus for Harms Farm in McHenry for a variety of activities that celebrate autumn. Bring a sack lunch and drink. The bus leaves for Harms Farm, returning at 6 p.m. Fee is $39 per child or $29 for ET KidZone participants.

Picnic in the Park:

Begin and end your day at the Community Center with fun activities to keep you busy from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10. Then, vote on which park, Kaper or Lions Park, to travel to for a picnic and time at the playground. Bring a sack lunch and drink. The bus leaves for Cary Gymnastics at 11:15 a.m. Fee is $39 per child or $29 for ET KidZone participants.
