Explore nature at Harvest of Acorn Moon in Aurora

Celebrate "Harvest of the Acorn Moon" from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at Oakhurst Forest Preserve, 1680 Fifth Ave., Aurora.

The prairie has turned golden, the forest trees are laden with fruit, and nature's bounty is harvested by wildlife and humans alike. Celebrate fall with various nature crafts including pumpkin painting, plus outdoor games, folk music and guided hikes. All ages are welcome to attend this family festival.

Harvest of the Acorn Moon has free admission. There is a nominal fee for crafts and refreshments.
