CHICAGO (AP) - Screenwriters for three Hollywood movie blockbusters and several television shows will be among the speakers at the DePaul University School of Cinematic Arts' annual Courier 12 Screenwriting Conference.

The one-day conference is scheduled Oct. 8 at DePaul's Daley Building in Chicago. Panels will cover project development, strategies for emerging writers and writing for diversity. The conference is named "Courier 12" for the font used for screenplays.

Other panelists include "Friday Night Lights" producer Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and "Law and Order: SVU" screenwriter Kam Miller.
