Police seek man who tried to grab woman on Prairie Path near Wheaton

DuPage County sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who attempted to grab a woman Monday morning along the Illinois Prairie Path near Wheaton.

The woman was jogging on the path near Armbrust Avenue and Pleasant Hill Road around 6:20 a.m. when the man tried to grab her from behind.

The victim described the suspect as a white or Asian male who was roughly 30 years old and stood about 5 feet 10 inches. She said he had an athletic build and straight black hair and was wearing a light-colored tank top and black jogging pants.

Deputies will be conducting extra patrols on the path. Anyone with information should call the sheriff's office at (630) 407-2400.
