Anti-bullying conference

University Center of Lake County is collaborating with Northern Illinois University to host the "Bullying: How Schools Can Respond" conference for educators. The conference will take place simultaneously in DeKalb and Grayslake on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. The sites will be linked through interactive video and some sessions will originate from each location. The goal of this professional development conference is to educate administrators, teachers, counselors, and staff members about how they can respond to the issue of bullying in their schools. Registration is open at http://www.niu.edu/clasep/conferences/bullying/index.shtml with early bird registration ending Oct. 7.
