Who works for whom?

I will be the first to say that I disliked Todd Stroger for his 'mightier than thou" look on other people, let alone his express private elevator in the county building downtown. When Toni Preckwinkle was elected, I thought this county may have a chance of returning to normalcy over the next couple of years. I consider myself to be a financial conservative, as I have no money to spend like some people do. But when President Preckwinkle raised our sales taxes to the level Todd Stroger had, an act that basically cost him the election, and nothing was said in the media that I know of, I gave up. Wake up, people. We do not work for the government. They are supposed to be working for us.
