League of Women Voters to Host Candidate Debates

The League of Women Voters of Deerfield/Lincolnshire, Glenview / Glencoe, Highland Park / Highwood, Lake Forest/Lake Bluff and the Union League Club will hold public candidate debates for the Illinois 10th Congressional District, 29th District State Senate and the 58th District State Representative race on Sunday, October 16, 2016. The debates will take place from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm. The debates will be held at Lake Forest High School, Lake Forest, IL 60045.

Below is the schedule for the debates:

10th Congressional District

• Brad Schneider (D)

• Bob Dold (R)

29th District State Senate

• Julie Morrison (D)

• Ben Salzberg (R)

58th District State Representative

• Scott Drury (D)

• Martin Blumenthal (R)

The public will be able to submit written questions for the candidates at the debate. The Lake Forest High School is located at 1285 N McKinley Rd, Lake Forest, IL 60045 Questions regarding general election issues, voting districts and candidates can be answered at www.cookcountyclerk.com or by calling the County Clerk's office at 312-603-5656 or the www.lakecountyil.gov/161/County-Clerk or by calling the Lake County Clerk's office at 847-377-2400. T he debates are being videotaped by LFTV and will be rebroadcast in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff. The debates also will be posted on the LWV-LF/LB website and on YouTube, if people want to view them.
