The Midwest Veterans Closet received a fundraising boost fit for a king Saturday.
A Stand Up for Veterans event was held at the Gold Pyramid House on Dilleys Road in Wadsworth to help raise funds for the organization. The Midwest Veterans Closet serves veterans with weather appropriate clothing, personal care items, housewares, furniture and items from its food pantry.
Saturday's event, presented by Jim Onan and Tom Kristof, featured house tours that included stops at a golden chariot, replicas of Cleopatra and Nefertiti and tours of the great tomb of King Tut.
