The Wonderful World of Wauconda homecoming celebration

Saturday's Wauconda High School homecoming parade was a highlight of a week of activities held by the school.

The parade included the homecoming court, cheerleaders, dance team, Wauconda boosters and alumni.

The Wonderful World of Wauconda was this year's theme, and students enjoyed window painting on Main Street, a disc tournament, float building, themed school days, a pep assembly and varsity football game against North Chicago.

The king and queen were crowned during Friday's varsity soccer game.

The annual homecoming dance Saturday night closed out the week's events.
