Chicago man charged with hiding camera in school bathroom

CHICAGO (AP) - A Chicago man is accused of hiding a motion-activated video camera in a bathroom at an elementary school where he worked as a music teacher and track coach.

A news release from the Chicago Police Department said Friday that 41-year-old Elliott Nott of the Albany Park neighborhood is charged with one felony count of child pornography and seven felony counts of unauthorized videotaping.

It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney who could comment on his behalf. He was to appear in bond court Friday.

Nott was arrested Wednesday.

He worked at Ogden International School.

Principal Michael Beyer sent a letter to parents earlier this month informing them a device resembling a camera was found in a faculty restroom but that staff were confident no images were transmitted.
