Lincolnshire officer receives Illinois Elderly Service Award

Submitted by the village of Lincolnshire

The office of Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan selected Lincolnshire police Officer Bethany Brown as one of the 2016 Outstanding Elderly Service Officers.

Throughout the year, Brown is actively involved in senior services through prevention, intervention and educational strategies within the village of Lincolnshire.

The Attorney General's Office presented the award to Brown during a ceremony at the Illinois State TRIAD Conference on Sept. 21. TRIAD represents a partnership among senior citizens, law enforcement agencies, and adult protective services working together to improve the quality of life of seniors.

The Lincolnshire Police Department recognizes the importance of specialized Elderly Service Officer training for its officers to handle the needs of the growing aging population.
