Arlington Hts. rivals face off for Special Olympics

Middle school hoops rivals teamed up with Arlington Heights police Thursday to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

The girls basketball teams from South and Thomas middle schools in Arlington Heights faced off at South for the 2016 Brave Challenge.

The teams hoped to raise $500 for the cause through donations at the door and during the games, as well as with T-shirt sales, a raffle, and various competitions and crowd participation events.
