Rock, funk and blues at Adler Center

The David Adler Music & Arts Center, 1700 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville is presenting "A Girl Named Nino" at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. The group is Nino Arobelidze's most recent project, fusing elements of indie-rock, funk and blues into her already jazz/world music infused delivery. The Chicago-based singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist touring in support of her latest release. The second leg of the tour begins in Washington D.C. and includes dates in New York, Boston and Los Angeles. Nino will be joined by Pablo Gordy on electric guitar and Meg Thomas drums/percussion.
