Linking candidate to Trump is trickery

I received a large 8½" x 14" mail piece recently titled "Why Is Bob Dold Letting Trump Win The presidency" and I am offended by its dishonesty.

It shows photos of Bob Dold and Donald Trump and implies that Bob Dold supports Donald Trump.

Congressman Bob Dold does not support Donald Trump (or Hillary Clinton) for president. The congressman is among a few Republicans, including Sen. Mark Kirk, who stated that he would not support Trump and has not changed his position.

Bob Dold is the most independent congressman in the House and often votes with Democrats. In this time of hyper-partisanship, Bob Dold stands alone and is often criticized by other Republicans for being too independent.

By sending this piece out, the "House Majority PAC" is not being honest with the 10th District constituents. If they want to see Democrat Brad Schneider elected, then state and support his positions and let the voters decide which they candidate they want as their congressman.

I find that this is the lowest form of political trickery and the House Majority PAC should be ashamed of themselves.

I am not affiliated with the Dold campaign organization.
