Female Volunteers Needed for Free Ultrasounds at College of DuPage

The Diagnostic Medical Imaging Sonography program at College of DuPage is seeking pregnant and non-pregnant volunteers to participate in free afternoon scanning sessions this fall.

Volunteer appointments are available at 3, 3:30 and 4 p.m. on Wednesdays through Dec. 7 (except Nov. 23 due to Thanksgiving break), and three openings are available for each time period. Pregnant volunteers can be in any stage, while non-pregnant female volunteers are needed for scans of pelvic anatomy, such as the uterus and ovaries.

The free sessions allow DMIS students to practice their scanning skills under the supervision of registered diagnostic medical sonographers. The scans are not diagnostic tests, and reports are not issued.

Spots are expected to fill quickly. For more information or to schedule an appointment, e-mail rusnakc301
