Stomp and Spit Grapes at Lynfred Winery Oktoberfest

If the leaves have begun to change it can only mean one thing; it's time for Lynfred's Annual Oktoberfest and Pig Roast! Celebrate two days of German sing-a-longs, grape spitting and grape stomping contests for the adventurous souls!

Although the Oktoberfest has become quite famous for its grape stomping and grape spitting contests, the king of the weekend always ends up being the roasted pig, which you can enjoy either as a sandwich or a full meal, served with warm German potato salad and all the fixings. Not to miss are the grilled bratwurst burgers, our homemade chili and especially the fresh grilled sweet corn. Those with a sweet tooth can visit our dessert booth for taffy apples, apple strudel or German chocolate cake. Naturally all of these delights are fabulous when paired with Lynfred's Oktoberfest wine, which will be released at the start of the festival. Those dressed in Lederhosen or like Lucy stomping grapes have a chance to win a spirited costume contest!
