Boys golf: Anderson's 33 leads Carmel Catholic victory

Tyler Anderson fired a 3-under-par 33, and Carmel Catholic's boys golf team shot a 157 to beat host Marian Central (160) in an East Suburban Catholic Conference match Tuesday at Crystal Woods Golf Course.

Wyatt Wagner had a 38 for the Hurricanes.

Mundelein d. Lake Zurich: At Lake Barrington Shores, medalist Tyler White shot a 35, as the Mustangs (155) remained undefeated in the North Suburban.

Brett Parola had a 38 for Mundelein, which also counted matching 41s from Zach Zentz and Josh Peterson.

Lake Zurich (160) received a 36 from Konnor Kininmonth and 38 from Nate Hughes.

Antioch d. Grant: At Antioch Golf Course, Alex Riedel fired a 41 to earn medalist honors and lead the Sequoits (176) past the Bulldogs (186) in Northern Lake County Conference action.

Tony Sertic shot a 42 for Antioch, while Reece Eldridge had a 45. Trevor Gregory and Nick Farino had matching 48s for the Sequoits.

Richard Flogel's 45 led Grant.

Grayslake Central d. Lakes: Alex Novak captured medalist honors with a 41, as the Rams (172) won the Northern Lake County Conference match.

Grayslake Central also got a 42 from Tyler Hanson, 44 from Cooper Brunk and 45s from Carter Trowitch and Michael Sisk.

Lakes (190) was led by Adam Nuxoll's 42.
