New senior living facility being built in Orland Park

ORLAND PARK - Caddis, a national health care real estate firm headquartered in Dallas, recently broke ground for the new 94-unit, 89,950 square foot assisted living and memory care community at 159th St. and Harlem Ave.

The community will be owned by a Caddis affiliate and will be managed by Pathway Senior Living LLC, a nationally recognized operator of senior living communities in the Chicago area and Wisconsin.

Heartis Village Orland Park will take senior living to the highest level, according to Maria Oliva, Pathway Senior Living Chief Operating Officer.

"We provide a life-enriching environment where seniors are engaged and living meaningful, purpose-filled lives," says Ms. Oliva. "We offer unique activities, including VIVA! World Tour that gives residents a chance to experience exotic cultures and learn new languages without leaving the community. Residents also can participate in the canine companion program, garden in our Victory Gardens, learn new topics and past times in our 'Lifelong Learning Center' and experience the beauty of art through projects for both beginners and experienced artists."

Heartis Village Orland Park is expected to be completed in fall 2017. The architect for the project is Austin, Texas-based Katus LLC and the general contractor is Rosemont-based McShane Construction Co.
