Carol Stream goes to the dogs for CSBarks festival

More than 4,000 dog lovers and their canine companions packed the Carol Stream Town Center on Sunday for the 8th annual CSBarks Dog Festival.

The annual event hosted by the Carol Stream Park District included canine agility and obedience activities, demonstrations by the Illinois State Police K-9 unit, performances by the Skydogz Frisbee team and the ever-popular "wiener dog" races.

A parade of breeds and contests, including for best-dressed dog and dog and owner look-alike, also were held, and any visitor looking for dog-related items were in their glory at the Fido Shopping Mall.
