Tickets going on sale for Halloween Night Walks

Tickets for the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County's Halloween Night Walks go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center, 3609 Spring Road, Oak Brook.

During the 75-minute family-friendly walks - from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21 and 22, at Fullersburg Woods - costumed guides will lead guests through the lantern-lit woods to six stage sets and more than 25 costumed performers.

This year's surprise theme features some classic Halloween Night Walk characters as well as some new ones. The walks are for ages 2 and older, but adults must accompany children younger than 18.

Tickets are $12 each, with a 10-ticket maximum per person and must be purchased at the center with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. The walks sell out quickly, so visitors should buy tickets early for the best selection. For information, call Fullersburg Woods at (630) 850-8110.

"These hikes are a great way to explore the preserves at night and get into the Halloween spirit," said Forest Preserve District Commissioner Jeff Redick, District 2. "This is one of our most popular programs. We expect it will fill quickly and encourage people to get tickets early."
