Firefighters Endorse Tom Cullerton for State Senate

Senator Tom Cullerton announced his endorsement from the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI), which represents union firefighters and EMS providers across Illinois.

"I am extremely proud to have the endorsement of the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois, an association of men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect our homes and families," Cullerton said. "I have a long history of working with the AFFI. In 2014, I was honored to receive their Legislative Award for my work in passing a bill to streamline local fire protection agencies, allowing them to use their resources more efficiently to provide better services."

The AFFI represents over 15,000 professional firefighters in 220 communities across the state. The union endorses candidates who support issues affecting professional firefighters in Illinois.

"On behalf of the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois, I am proud to endorse Tom Cullerton for state senate in the 23rd district," said AFFI President Pat Devaney. "He has fought for fire fighters and EMS providers at every turn, and he has helped fire protection districts work more efficiently. Tom is a friend and ally to firefighters in DuPage County and across the state."

Tom Cullerton is running for state senate in the 23rd Legislative District. A U.S. Army veteran, father, and public servant, Tom is a strong advocate for middle-class families and responsible government. He has spearheaded and passed bipartisan legislation to increase fiscal responsibility, make college more affordable, invest in small businesses, and protect veterans.
