'Frog and Toad' at Wheaton Warrenville South

Wheaton Warrenville South High School will present the Tony Award-winning musical "A Year With Frog and Toad" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, and at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, in the school auditorium, 1993 Tiger Trail Road.

Based on Arnold Lobel's well-loved books, and featuring a score by Robert and Willie Reale, the whimsical show follows two great friends - the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad - through four fun-filled seasons.

Waking from hibernation in the spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.

The show is directed by upperclassmen, with 16 directors overseeing costumes, choreography, blocking, acting, warm ups and more.

Tickets are $5 and available at www.showtix4u.com. More information is available by calling the box office at (630) 784-7243.
