Palatine Library seeks community feedback

This September, Palatine Public Library District is conducting a short, communitywide survey to collect valuable feedback from library users and nonusers about their Palatine Library experience.

Suggestions and comments are essential to helping the library evaluate, improve, and plan services for the coming years. Those finishing the survey have a chance to win a new iPad. The survey is available at all locations and online at www.palatinelibrary.org/survey.

"The library is committed to improving and enriching lives. Information collected from this survey will help us plan for and respond to the changing needs of our community. We're hoping to hear from as many district residents as possible in our efforts to serve all," says Anthony Auston, director.

This is the third communitywide survey the library has offered in the past eight years. Feedback and suggestions from previous surveys helped guide the library to renovate both floors of the Main Library, add drive-up return boxes in the garage, create more study rooms, expand the computer lab, add a vending café, replace the main staircase, replace furnishings, develop new collections, and much more.

The board and staff are excited to learn more about the community's needs in an effort to make the library experience even better in the future.

A summary of the survey will be included in the library's next newsletter and posted on the library website.
