Images: Chicago Bears lose to the Houston Texans 23-14

The Chicago Bears lost to the Houston Texans 23-14 during the season opening game on Sunday at NRG Stadium in Houston, after leading at the end of the first half 14-10.

The Bears defense provided a good start as Tracy Porter intercepted a pass by Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler during the first possession of the game.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler lead the offense down the field and running back Jeremy Langford scored on a 1-yard run and the Bears took an early 7-0 lead.

The Bears took a 14-10 with: 07 seconds left in the first half when Cutler threw a 19-yard TD pass to receiver Eddie Royal.

After the half, the Bears offense was held scoreless.

Cutler completed 16 of 29 passes for 216 yards with one TD and one interception. Langford ran for 57 yards on 17 carries. Receiver Alshon Jeffrey caught 4 passes for 105 yards.

For the Texans, quarterback Osweiler threw for 231 yards on 22 of 35 passes scoring 2 TD's and one interception. Running back Lamar Miller had 106 yards on 28 carriers. Will Fuller had 107 receiving yards on 5 catches.
