Huntley radio station proud to promote area events

In the past two months, Huntley Community Radio has created and run promos for almost 40 community events and fundraisers in Huntley and the surrounding communities.

We believe we are meeting the mission of the station to keep the community informed and connected.

These promos supported local fundraising events like the Special Olympics Cop on the Rooftop, American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, Benefit for Abby Leukemia at Penny Road Pub, Save Abandoned Babies' Motorcycle Run, Huntley Cheerleaders car wash, and Walk to End Alzheimer's.

We have done promos for weekend fun such as Woodstock Opera House's "One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," 101.5 Christmas Party at Santa's Village, Carpentersville's Slide the City, Sun City's Art in My Secret Garden, Village of Huntley/101.5 FM Party in the Park, Huntley Park District 4th Fest 5K Run/Walk and Open Swim, Hampshire Chamber's Cruising into Summer Car Show and Fun Fair, Huntley Vet Fest, circus in Carpentersville, Lake in the Hills Triathlon, and Odd Fellows Rock the Fox Music Fest.

We promoted community events like Sun City's 9/11 Flag Event, the Bike Ride with Huntley Police, Huntley Veterans Memorial Celebration, Huntley Park District's "Cork and Canvass" and Family Campouts, Miss Huntley & Miss Lake in the Hills Pageant, communitywide Carpentersville yard sale, Centegra's open house, Huntley Historical Society programs, paper shredding event, Huntley Couples Golf Tournament, Huntley High School football, Huntley Farmers Market, and Huntley Library Grandparent's Day.

As you can see, quite a variety of events in the area.

Here is where you can come in. As an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, we relay 100 percent on listener donations and corporate underwriters. We have done everything possible to keep our monthly expenses to a minimum, but each month continue to struggle financially.
