Get your off-leash dog area memberships now

Dog owners and their canine companions can now purchase a 2016-2017 off-leash dog area membership to enjoy off-leash play in the Forest Preserves of Cook County.

Use of an off-leash dog area requires annual membership, which includes one key card to enter any of the Forest Preserves' Off-Leash Dog Area locations.

Off-Leash Dog Area locations and features:

• Beck Lake, 1000 N E. River Road, Des Plaines, features 40 acres, large pond and outdoor shelter.

• Bremen Grove, 16061 Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park, features seven acres, large and small dog areas and water fountain.

• Miller Meadow, 2175 S. 1st St., Forest Park, features three acres and an outdoor shelter.

Memberships can be purchased online by visiting fpdcc.com/off-leash-dog-areas, or by visiting the Forest Preserves' General Headquarters, 536 N. Harlem Ave., in River Forest. The 2016-2017 annual membership is valid Oct. 1, 2016, through Sept. 30, 2017. Cook County residents pay $55 per dog annually. The fee for nonresidents is $110 per dog.

In addition to an application, all dog owners are required to submit a Veterinarian Health Report. Membership cards and keys will be mailed to applicants after the Veterinarian Health Report has been approved.
