Grant's Gaby Schoenberg won at No. 1 singles, but Antioch's girls tennis team captured the rest of the matches in claiming a 6-1 win in Northern Lake County Conference action on Thursday.

Antioch improved to 3-1 and 2-0 in the NLCC.

Antioch's Sjana Henderson (No. 2) and Heather McNaughton (No. 3) both won in straight sets.

The Sequoits' doubles wins came from Elizabeth Gardner/Emma DeJong (No. 1), Sierra Ward/Gabby Palm (No. 2), Megan Lawrence/Piper Foote (No. 3) and Taylor Horner/Emily Gardner (No. 4). Lawrence/Foote won in come-from-behind fashion.

Schoenberg outlasted Kelsey Neville 6-2, 6-3.

Wauconda 6, Lakes 1: Sarah Hackman won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles for the Bulldogs, who also got singles victories from Emma Lewandowski (No. 2) and Hayley Hausherr (No. 3) in the Northern Lake County Conference match.

Wauconda's doubles wins came from Charlene Bernardo/Taylor Splingaire (No. 1), Morgan Bilancia/Grace Lewandowski (No. 2) and Diana Casas/Katie Giever (No. 3).

Lakes' lone win came from its No. 3 doubles team of Kylie Jozwik/Melissa Variny, who captured a 6-2, 6-4 decision.

Kylie and Melissa relied on aggressive net play and solid ground strokes to carry the day," Lakes coach Bryan Plinske said.

Stevenson 6, Mundelein 1: The Patriots swept doubles in the North Suburban Conference match.

At No. 1 singles, Mundelein sophomore Isabel Alviar beat freshman Gina Kondos 0-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Lake Zurich 7, Zion-Benton 0: The visiting Bears won all seven matches in straight sets in the North Suburban match.

Sophia de la Reyes didn't lose a game at No. 1 singles. Masha Ignatenko (No. 2) and Nicole Pawlik (No. 3) also won singles matches for Lake Zurich.

The Bears received doubles wins from Jordan Dickson/Laura Zborovsky (No. 1), Lea McCoy/Emilia Talar (No. 2), Miriam Chung/Anna Biergans (No. 3) and Danna Tabachnik/Lydia Snyder (No. 4).

Grayslake Central 7, Round Lake 0: The Rams lost only 2 games in the Northern Lake County match.
