Boys golf: Kininmonth, LZ shoot down Warren
Konnor Kininmonth fired a 35, and Lake Zurich's boys golf team shot a 160 to beat host Warren in North Suburban Conference action at Bittersweet Golf Club on Tuesday.
The Bears also counted Nate Hughes' 40, Ryan Brandt's 42 and Caden Jessen's 43.
Warren (173) was led by Edgar Avila, who carded a 40.
Lakes d. Grayslake North: At Antioch Golf Club, the Eagles won the Northern Lake County Conference match on a fifth-score tiebreaker.
Both teams had a 167.
Four players - Lakes' Adam Nuxoll and Brad Bies and Grayslake North's Adam Baker and Joey McHugh - each shot a 41. Lakes also needed Tommy Hucker's 42 and the matching 43s by Austin Hirsch and Tom Jones.
Antioch d. Wauconda: At Spring Valley Country Club, Alex Riedel's 42 led the victorious Sequoits (174) on their home course.
Antioch also received a 43 from Warren Sundt, 44 from Trevor Gregory and 45 from Tony Sertic.
Wauconda (183) was paced by Sean Jackson's 42.
Grayslake Central d. Grant: At Antioch Golf Club, Tyler Hanson fired a 3-over-par 39, and the Rams (166) won the Northern Lake County Conference match.
Grayslake Central also got a 40 from Michael Sisk, 42 from Alec Novak and 45 from Zach Wichlin.
Grant (192) was led by Richard Flogel and Mason Hernden with matching 47s.
