Boys soccer: Delgadillo, Warren stay unbeaten

Ruben Delgadillo scored twice and added 3 assists, and Warren's boys soccer team stayed undefeated by beating Grayslake Central 7-2 in a nonconference match on Tuesday night.

Kody Anderson, Bryan Galvan, Richie Flores, Hugo Flores and Carlos Mirillo also scored for Warren (8-0-1), which led 3-0 at halftime. Anderson also had an assist, as did Kevin Penarrieta and Thomas Macheras.

Stevenson 4, Lake Forest 1: Elliot Lueck scored a goal in each half, as the host Patriots won their North Suburban Conference opener.

Steven O'Reilly and Ryan McGrogan also had goals for Stevenson (3-1-1). Joel Fleming, Borler Wu and Ben Brandt had assists.

For Lake Forest, Taddeo Galli scored off an assist from Joey Williams.

Antioch 5, Zion Benton 0: Peter Boeh's 2 goals and 1 assist led the Sequoits to the nonconference win.

Antioch (4-4-1) led 4-0 at halftime en route to its third win in a row.

R.J. Vazquez, Cody Matonik and Sebastian Scofield also scored for the Sequoits, while Bart Krumpos had 2 assists. Gabe Tijerina and Zach Espitia also contributed assists. Alex Ruano made 3 saves in earning his third shutout and second consecutive.

"We played with a lot of desire and energy and opened the scoring early," Antioch assistant coach Matt Bohmann said. "We put a lot of pressure on them and created a lot from it. We've been creating chances all season and finally capitalized on them tonight. Zion came out strong in the second half, but we stayed organized and kept the shutout."

The game was called with 23:35 left due to lightning.

Hersey 2, Lake Zurich 1: Saul Casillas scored twice for the Huskies (5-0-1) in the nonconference match.
