Cross country: Kaneland's Richtman wins at Harvest Christian

Matthew Richtman of Kaneland was the individual champion and Harvest Christian won the team title Saturday at the Harvest Christian boys cross country invitational.

Richtman finished in a time of 16:00.974 to lead the Knights to a second-place finish with 72 points.

Harvest scored 33 points and was led by a third-place finish from Andrew Dobrescu and a fourth place from Michael Sisko.

In the girls race, Harvest finished third with 76 points. Chicago Christian won the team title and Glenbard South was second. Nygia Pollard led the way for Harvest with a third-place finish.

At CL South: At the Crystal Lake South invite at Veterans Acres, individual champion Jack Becker (16:20.5) led the host Gators to fourth place. Fremd (63) won the team race and Cary-Grove (66) was second. Alex Ratkovich took third for Cary-Grove. Huntley finished third in the girls race behind Belvidere North and Grant, Crystal Lake South was fifth behind a third-place finish from Caitlin Bruzzini. Elgin's Kelsey Moreno finished 10th.

At Oregon: Kaneland's Rachel Richtman finished first in a time of 19:32 at the Oregon open invitational, where no team scores were kept. The Knights' Andrea Wells was second in 19:56.
