Lakes d. Carmel: McKenna Lahr hammered 11 kills and added 8 digs, and the visiting Eagles beat the Corsairs 25-16, 25-18 in nonconference action.
The Eagles also received 5 kills apiece from Erica Grant and Katie Billetdeaux and four from Kaylee Lebron. Paige Bartlett contributed 19 digs and 2 aces, and Rachel Orpano had 25 assists and 5 digs.
Carmel fell to 2-3.
"Not a good day for the Corsairs," Carmel coach David Pazely said. "We struggled in several phases of the game tonight and Lakes kept the pressure on us from start to finish."
Libertyville d. St. Viator: The Wildcats won the nonconference match 25-22, 24-26, 25-17.
