Girls volleyball: Rolling Meadows improves to 2-0

The Rolling Meadows girls volleyball team headed to to Wauconda on Monday night, and the Mustangs' record also went north in the win column.

Meadows picked up its second win of he season without a loss by defeating the host Bulldogs 25-23, 26-24.

Senior outside hitter Maddie Sellergren (8 kills) and Kyra Amundson (5) led the attack for the visitors (2-0) while Sellergren was also 15-of-17 serving with 5 aces and she had 3 blocks and 3 digs. Teammate Natalie Klancnik was 11-of-11 with an ace while setting the offense with 16 assists.

Molly Bonell and Eleanor Errico each added 2 blocks for the winner while Paige Connor (4), Macie Robinson (4) and Madeline Rebsamen (2) were other leaders in digs.

Stevenson d. Buffalo Grove: Stevenson (8-0) won the nonconference match 25-15, 25-16 over the host Bison (2-6) , who were led by senior Kanella Kalyviaris (4 kills), senior Kim Barton (2 kills), sophomore Maggie Streckert (6 assists), senior Hannah Schuler (4 assists) and senior Kiarra Akiyoshi (13 digs).
